PortraiturePhotographing people is an exercise in understanding what it means to be a human.
Over the course of over 250 photoshoots, I’ve explored the porous boundary between our interior and exterior selves where the subject feels brave enough to portray power, reveal vulnerability, and take creative risks. My goal with portraiture is to prompt the subject to tap into the lived memory of a feeling and convey that feeling through the photo.
Double ExporsureLayering photographs allows me to create an image that goes beyond what lays in front of us.
Double exposure helps me convey the connectivity between the objects, scenes, and spaces that we float between- moment by moment.
Landscape A picture of a place is not just a picture of a place. It is an expression of a moment in time.
For me, landscape photography transports me into a new state of mind. It is an invitation to step into deep time and consider the ways that the forces of nature of shaped a place. This practice is dear to my heart.
